Vicious Cycles Begin At Home : First Circle [Poem]

Posted: October 16, 2014

Amidst all the noise about violence against women is this short, powerful reminder that violence, and change, begins at home.

Father hits mother,

Mother goes to kitchen to cook.

Daughter watches,

Hits the doll mockingly, plays again.

First circle of wrong lessons,

“Violence is okay.”
