It is winter, and dry skin and chapped lips are driving you crazy! Here are 2 super easy recipes for DIY lip scrubs!
Hey everybody, how are you gorgeous people doing?? It’s pretty chilly and rainy in Hong Kong today and it seems like we are finally setting up for winter!! So, the dry days when our bodies need more nourishment are upon us and in preparation for the same I am writing about two home-made scrubs that can help you keep those lips happily moisturised and kissable!
Lips lose their moisture while facing dry windy days and get super chapped. And if you are an avid lipstick user, it’s even harder as a lot of lipsticks tend to dry them even more. You need to work harder to keep them at their hydrated best during cold weather.

So, here are TWO LIP SCRUBS that can be your go-to this winter and just take five minutes to make and store. Apply them on your lips for (another) five minutes and you’ll be all set to put on your favourite lip colour in no time.

Minty wintery scrub

The first one is called ‘Minty Wintery’ (yup, I named it!! Sounds cool, doesn’t it?). It is a perfect blend of dry mint with some brown sugar and coconut oil. Here’s how you make it:

mintywintery1

Take:
-1 tsp dry mint
-2 tsp brown sugar
-1 tsp coconut oil
mintywintery
Mix them all well together and store in a small lip balm container. Apply the same for five minutes and wash off, your lips are now lipstick ready.

The Honey Sugary Scrub

The second one is called ‘THE HONEY SUGARY’; it is super easy to make again and you can add in a little cinnamon powder to plump up those lips a little as well.

honeysugary1

Take:
2 tsp Sugar (brown or white)
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Almond Oil
honeysugary
Again, mix them well and store in a lip balm container. Apply and exfoliate for five minutes and i bet you will be happy with the results.
Have you exfoliated your lips before? Let me know what you think of these two scrubs when you try them.
Have a lovely weekend and be warm!!
