Prime Time TV anchor and ‘pressitute’ Faye DSouza, who is famous for not letting people bully her on her own prime time show on Mirror Now, effectively shut down a troll who tried to use his bhakt logic to take away the limelight from the matter of importance.
DSouza recently tweeted about how the GST rates had been lowered on beauty products and not on sanitary napkins, in a bid of supporting the campaign that wants to make sanitary napkins tax free in India.
So naturally, trolls attacked like it is their job and started singing the same old song about how the ‘previous’ (read: Congress) taxes were more than they are currently and how she should go “do some journalism instead of Pressitutegiri”.
Dear PresstituteWhat was the earlier rate of tax on Sanitary Napkins??? Do some journalism instead of Presstitutegiri — Abhishek Singh (@IAbhi_s) November 10, 2017

To which she replied in another tweet, and savagely shut down his irrelevant bullshit.
Dear Mr. Singh, The earlier rate was 4%. Although it differed from state to state. Also, you may adresss me as Faye or Ms DSouza or Ma'am. https://t.co/21se3hZpcD — Faye DSouza (@fayedsouza) November 11, 2017

She later tweeted with what every woman wants to practically yell out at this point in time.
The campaign is to make Sanitary Napkins tax FREE, it is a basic necessity. The previous tax is irrelevant, please watch the debate . https://t.co/ZrCoy62zsT — Faye DSouza (@fayedsouza) November 11, 2017

The dense politics that is woven by such specimens around anything important that is trying to take place in our country is what is hampering these issues from seeing the light of the day. If only they could climb out of their dingy holes and see what the more important things in life are!

UP Boards Topper Prachi Nigam was trolled on social media for her facial hair; our obsession with appearance is harsh on young minds.
Prachi Nigam’s photo has been doing the rounds on social media for the right reasons. Well, scratch that- I wish the above statement were true. This 15-year-old girl should ideally be revelling in her spectacular achievement of scoring a whopping 98.05% and topping her tenth-grade boards. But oddly enough, along with her marks, it’s something else that garners more attention – her facial hair.
While the trolls are driving themselves giddy by mocking this girl who hasn’t even completed her school yet, the ones who are taking her side are going one step ahead – they are sharing her photoshopped pictures, sans the facial hair, looking nothing less than a celebrity with captions saying – “Prachi Nigam, ten years later”.
Doctors have already diagnosed her with PCOD in their comments, based on photographic evidence. While we have names for people shamed for their weight – body shaming, for their skin colour- racism, for their age- age shaming, for being a female- sexism, this category of shaming where one faces criticism for their appearance has no name. With that, it also has zero shame attached to it.
