4 Virtues Of Kumud Raina That We Absolutely Love

Kumud Raina is relatable to all who aspire to speak their mind and live their life. She is selfless yet an ambitious girl who prioritizes herself over the society.

For those who watched Bharat, the latest movie starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Sonali Kulkarni and Tabu and Disha Patani in a guest appearance cannot deny that the character of Kumud Raina played by Katrina Kaif has a strong role to essay. In this movie, Salman Khan calls her MadamSir as he expects a man to be in that designation but a lady is actually handling the job. So he ends up calling her MadamSir in the entire movie; and Katrina justifies her name too with her dialogues and moves. Kumud Raina gives us many lessons of life. Here are some of those that stood out for me.
  1. Express what you feel: Kumud Raina is a girl who expresses her thoughts and feelings freely. Whether it is disapproval of a task or a simple flirting by a colleague. She even expresses her love to Bharat and asks to get married at a time and age when girls had to wait for the guys to make the first move. She slays it with her dialogue, “Meri shaadi ki umar ho gayi hai aur tum mujhe ache lagte ho
Learning: Never shy in expressing your feelings, even if you have to take the initiative at all times.
  1. Execute your plan: When Kumud decides to fulfil an assignment, then she completes it, be it a professional one or a personal one. She balances both the worlds effortlessly. Be it at the Government office, or in the heat of Arab or even selling groceries at a store. She balances her job and her love life very well.
Learning: Balancing act is what women mostly excel in and they should consider this as a boon and look for more opportunities worth capitalizing.
  1. Work is above Gender: Kumud Raina works in the Oil & Gas industry which is mostly a male dominated one. However, this gender ratio doesn’t keep her away from working; she showcases that her skills do the talking. Her dialogue “halke mein mat lena humko”(Don’t take me lightly) portrays a bold character.
Learning: Every designation has its decorum and the gender of a person cannot change that.
  1. Believe in your dream: It is so emotional to watch Kumud , who is the Creative Director of a channel, propose a project plan continuously year after year for the ones who are separated and live across the borders. She believes in this dream project and is strong enough to head the entire proceedings in both the countries.
Learning: Believe in yourself and the world will surely believe in you, sooner or later. Kumud Raina is relatable to all who aspire to speak their mind and live their life. She can even wait for her love for more than 3 decades and still be with her partner through all ups and downs of life. She is selfless yet an ambitious girl who prioritizes herself over the society. Kudos to this strong woman and may she inspire many more! Image is a still from the movie Bharat
