First Self-Image [Poem]

This poem, poignantly talks about the self-image children form very early in life, through the behaviour of the adults around them.

This poem, poignantly talks about the self-image children form very early in life, through the behaviour of the adults around them.
Bhaiya’s birthday,
Huge celebrations,
A big car-shaped cake.
Her birthday,
A few murmurs,
And a silent dinner.
That night she goes to sleep,
With her first self-image,
“I am not important.”
And her first day to a journey of struggle to prove otherwise.
Next morning she tried to talk wiser.
