Vulnerable [Poem]

Posted: September 30, 2015

A very short poem that tells us what men goes through being strong. Gender stereotypes hurt both the genders deeply.

Father said,

Don’t be vulnerable ever.

Women like it strong.

Mother stayed silent.

Twenty years later,

While finally agreeing to see a counselor,

He tells his friend,

“I don’t know why,

All women just tell me,

‘I am incapable of being human.’

Last night my sixth girlfriend left me.
