Check out 16 Return-To-Work Programs In India For Ambitious Women Like You!
Take a look at these Granny videos. These women are amazing, spunky, and oh-so-not-your-average-grandma-like!
What pops into your head when you hear, see, read the word ‘Grandma’? An almost angelic lady with a halo of white hair, sitting on a rocking chair with knitting needles or feeding you with some of the best food you’ve ever had or telling you a story? Must be something around those lines, I’m sure.
What if I tell you that there are Grannies on the internet who can rock any yoga position or become viral for that very food you love, or be the warrior of the stories they tell? You might have LOL’d at this but scroll down and prepare to be lit up with these granny videos with more likes than all your instagram posts combined.
At 98 years of age, Nanammal just casually goes on being one of the best yoga teachers in the whole wide world, rocking every yoga position like a pro and winning competitions. The usual.
Can you cook? Most of us can. Do you have a food blog? Some of you may. Does it have a lot of followers? Probably a few. But… are you a 105 years old? I’m pretty sure you’re not, unless you’re this lady who can cook almost anything and everything, and it’ll probably be the best ‘grandma’s recipe’ one will ever get their hands on.
You must know what ninjas are, right? Now imagine one, with an expertise on an Indian martial art (Kalaripayattu) wearing a sari, with the longest sword you can imagine and ‘only’ 74 years old! Meet Meena Raghavan, who is only a costume short of being the most badass ninja ever.
These granny videos prove that grannies are the real MVPs and prove that there is no such thing as ‘age appropriate‘ behaviour. Try a page from their diary someday!

UP Boards Topper Prachi Nigam was trolled on social media for her facial hair; our obsession with appearance is harsh on young minds.
Prachi Nigam’s photo has been doing the rounds on social media for the right reasons. Well, scratch that- I wish the above statement were true. This 15-year-old girl should ideally be revelling in her spectacular achievement of scoring a whopping 98.05% and topping her tenth-grade boards. But oddly enough, along with her marks, it’s something else that garners more attention – her facial hair.
While the trolls are driving themselves giddy by mocking this girl who hasn’t even completed her school yet, the ones who are taking her side are going one step ahead – they are sharing her photoshopped pictures, sans the facial hair, looking nothing less than a celebrity with captions saying – “Prachi Nigam, ten years later”.
Doctors have already diagnosed her with PCOD in their comments, based on photographic evidence. While we have names for people shamed for their weight – body shaming, for their skin colour- racism, for their age- age shaming, for being a female- sexism, this category of shaming where one faces criticism for their appearance has no name. With that, it also has zero shame attached to it.
