Nothing good can be gained without authenticity, empathy, and an enterprising spirit. It is with this ethos that I go to work every day as the Global Head of Insights for the $20B Printing Services & Solutions business at HP. I am a senior marketer, an enabler of innovation and human connection, and a strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of insights and brand purpose.
My belief in reinvention began at an early age. Resilience and self-belief became my assets when I moved as a child from Dayton to New Delhi, growing through the culture shock to become a professional architect. I realized the power of vision and luck when I bucked the status quo and founded a design business to earn my one-way shot back to America. When I secured that vital job as an architect in Chicago and attained an M.S. in integrated marketing communications from Northwestern University, I recognized how hard work and a thousand dollars from my mom can set the course for my future. When life took my advertising career to India and into a wildly growing economy, I discovered that meaningful ideas and international impact are possible if you understand how to put the cultural pieces together. Over the past several years, I have gone from New Delhi to Boston to San Diego and have had the absolute privilege of working with some of the finest marketers and business minds from around the world.
I have over 20 years of career experience. Prior to HP, I was the Head of Strategy at MullenLowe Boston where I led my team to a record number of Effie Award wins. I have had the pleasure of serving as Head of Strategy at Wieden+Kennedy Delhi where I won a Cannes Gold Lion, AME Gold and WARC Silver awards. My passion for instilling self-confidence in women led me to to found The Leela Collective. It is my humble effort at gathering the authentic, relatable voices of strong women into one motivational force.
Always on a learning quest, I am also a certified Japanese saké sommelier and a proud member of Chief, a private executive professional women’s network.
