Ranjani Shanker

A passionate marketer from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Ranjani Shanker is known for bringing authentic storytelling and creativity to all the brands she has represented in her career. As a 19-year-old graduate student, she won the All India UGC National Conference, Best Paper, for her award-winning writing on Breaking The Glass Ceiling - Women in Management. She then started her career as Business Development Executive at Frost & Sullivan, being the first executive to go to market in the Middle East region for the company. Since then, Ms Shanker has made significant contributions to sales and marketing for multinational corporations, social enterprises and startups across India, the Middle East and San Francisco, California. During her brief stint in the US, she explored her entrepreneurial side with a friend, by kickstarting a business that sold Indian-inspired merchandise to NRIs across the world. In 2012, she then moved back home to India to lead the Summits division of Frost & Sullivan across the MENASA geography, travelling around the region to bring global industry conferences and networking events to life. Besides her work in marketing and entrepreneurship, Ms Shanker is also a vocalist/musician who has performed live on stage in India and California, while also having dabbled in playback singing for Indian movies and advertisement jingles. She has also volunteered with the Ultimate Players Association of India and was a monumental part of getting India’s first-ever women’s national team to the world championship that was held in London in 2015. She is now based out of her hometown, Chennai, as Head of Marketing & Growth at The Quad Fitness, the country’s premium fitness brand that has helped over 10k people make fitness a sustainable and enjoyable part of their lives. As part of their core leadership team, she has helped expand the virtual division through the pandemic by scaling it 10x and reaching 100s of Indians across the world with their honest, reliable and professional brand of fitness. The Quad brand has built a 1.7L+ fanbase across social media and is known for its technical expertise, sustainable recommendations and lifestyle transformations that are trusted by many across our city of Chennai.
