Fizza Abbas

Fizza Abbas Rabbani is a Best of The Net-nominated writer, freelance journalist, guest lecturer and a published poet, currently working as an Editor in Chief for a Canadian startup. She has bylines in major national & international publications, such as Dawn, News International, Nation, Express Tribune, Arre India, London Grip, and Beltway Poetry Quarterly, to name a few. Her poems have been published in over 100 international journals, featured in university workshops, taught in schools, and nominated/selected for many awards. She has also been a finalist for Oxford Brookes International Poetry Competition 2021, and appeared in multiple podcasts for Radio Pakistan, Sindh Police FM 88.6 and Gila Mimbres Community Radio 89.1. She has authored two books: "Bakho" and "Ool Jalool", which have been selected from a pool of over 100 entries in a poetry chapbook competition and had the opportunity to interview several notable celebrities and cover many high-profile events. In August 2022, she participated with Poetry X Hunger to host a successful fundraising poetry open mic, contributing over $1,000 to NGOs working towards eliminating hunger globally.
