Phenomenal Women

Times are changing and so women ought to fight for their emancipation and break away from the shackles of fear and self-doubt.

Women have been carrying invisible scars over ages. They face adverse circumstances all through their lives. Woman beholds thousands of untold stories and anxiety beneath her sparkling dark eyes, which hides all the information that would eventually wound her with unfathomable misery and despair. The pressure to grow up, to sit properly talk sweetly, the so called Fit Into A Girl’s Shoe thing has left a long lasting impact on the women community. Women tend to say YES to so many stuffs that they don’t even like doing and its not even owing to patriarchy. Its the hidden fear within and the inclination of women to ‘fit in’ and have that equilibrium and everything at peace that provokes a woman to ‘Shut Her Mouth Up’ and cater to the needs of the society.

Its not that women don’t raise questions over the issues its just that it is simply raised by the wrong kind of FEMINISTS .The so called hypocrite feminists of today’s generation- living in sixteen mansion building, roaming in Ferrari’s- talk about the struggles of a woman who is even not privileged enough to use a sanitary pad and even if you offer them one they will throw it away. As a woman we have to say yes to those red heads who are ready to use us as a Kaanta and Kamala Bai’s.

The world is changing at a rapid pace so are women. But somewhere deep within it is in the zehen of  a woman that they have to adjust even if it is for a house or for a restroom. Words of optimism rise when I read Maya Angelou’s poem ‘Phenomenal women’ .

‘I am a woman

Phenomally Phenomenal Woman’.
