I have been living and working outside my home for more than a decade now and being a medical professional brings its own hardships and struggles like many of ours .
Over these years I have seen people facing work place issues like mental harrasment and discrimination for the most irrelevant mistakes ,which is not acceptable. The most we can do is make our workplace a little bearable by not doing unnecessary things and treating others around you on a human level. These issues how small they might seen may end up having consequences if allowed to continue.
To err is human , we have heard and read it a million times but how often do we implement it in our lives. Pouncing on a person and play the blame game when ever we get the chance for the tinest and harmelss mistakes , mostly for our own personal gain is most unnecessary and cruel thing to do not thinking what effect will that have on that person.
Learning is a continuous process and for a person new to a whole different place and it’s working is even harder . Being kind and compassionate in your approach towards others will always benefit both the concerned people and is the basic, one can ask for.
The busy and fast paced life we all are leading today comes with its own pros and cons and leaves us exhausted both physically and mentally at the end of the day. So the bare minimum we can do is being kind to each other as in the end we are all humans . It amazes me how some people find their happiness in being unnecessarily rude to others and misusing their authority. What kind of a personality it is which feeds on the humiliation of others and adding discrimination to it brings it down to a whole different level.
We as humans need to understand that the success and happiness of any person how ever superior he/she is should never stem from the disrespect of others around them. Looking at our society and where it’s going right now in every aspect, it becomes utmost important to treat each other with the same kindness ,compassion and respect as we ourselves expect, let alone the fact that this should always have been like this from beginning. Only then we can make this world a better and happier place to live in and the joy it brings to the soul makes it worth it.

UP Boards Topper Prachi Nigam was trolled on social media for her facial hair; our obsession with appearance is harsh on young minds.
Prachi Nigam’s photo has been doing the rounds on social media for the right reasons. Well, scratch that- I wish the above statement were true. This 15-year-old girl should ideally be revelling in her spectacular achievement of scoring a whopping 98.05% and topping her tenth-grade boards. But oddly enough, along with her marks, it’s something else that garners more attention – her facial hair.
While the trolls are driving themselves giddy by mocking this girl who hasn’t even completed her school yet, the ones who are taking her side are going one step ahead – they are sharing her photoshopped pictures, sans the facial hair, looking nothing less than a celebrity with captions saying – “Prachi Nigam, ten years later”.
Doctors have already diagnosed her with PCOD in their comments, based on photographic evidence. While we have names for people shamed for their weight – body shaming, for their skin colour- racism, for their age- age shaming, for being a female- sexism, this category of shaming where one faces criticism for their appearance has no name. With that, it also has zero shame attached to it.
