A favour here, a favour there,

A scene of shit, I just can’t bear.

Sat for the exam, scored so good,

But why didn’t I catch that hook?

 

The interviewer asked five plus five,

I answered ten, but still got jived.

Tell me what’s wrong, the system or me?

Answer fast, I have a deadline to hurry.

 

Oh look! That jovial girl got the job,

The one who won’t add a drop.

The river has become dirty,

Full of favours and friendly mercies.

 

I must find a jack for myself too,

To fuck the system, of who’s who.

Here, I sit with all my degrees,

Could someone tell me the worth, please?
