Or what we called ‘Arabi Madam’ for many many years. A traditional Portugese sweet.

Egg Yolks
9 Tablespoons Sugar
5 Ounces Butter
3 Tablespoons Cocoa
Orange Zest
12 Cup Shredded Coconut
20 Marie Biscuit
Wax Paper

Preparation steps

    Mix 2 tbs. of sugar with the 2 egg yolks until you get a creamy mix.

    Melt the butter on the stove or in the microwave, and then add it to the egg and sugar mix.

    Mix together the rest of the sugar and the cocoa and then add to the mixture.

    Add the biscuits, broken into small pieces.

  • 5

    Combine so the chocolate cream blends well with the cookies. Add the orange zest.

    Sprinkle coconut on the butter paper, across the middle. Scrape the mixture over the butter paper.

    Roll the wax paper close so it takes the form of salami.

    Refrigerate for three hours.

    Unwrap and serve in slices.
