Men who can be vulnerable, are thoughtful, who support their significant other, who take responsibility - basically men who aren't toxic. Where can we find them?
As International Men’s Day just went by, here’s to celebrating men we need more on screen and real life!
A calm and composed guy who gave it all in love. At times a viewer may feel that maybe he deserves someone better than Rumi because of all the effort he makes for her.
It’s not easy to stay with a wife who hasn’t moved on from her past relationship but Robbie made it easy for her. He never questioned her character, and was always an understanding husband. Big hug to him!
The first thought that comes to our mind hearing his name is only wishing he was alive. His sacrifice can never be forgotten and he’ll always be appreciated for the man he was.
He won our hearts when Dimple mocked his proposal and he very firmly told her how serious he was about their relationship. He always respected her and everyone around him. We definitely need more men like him on screens and in real life.
Perfect is the word for this beautiful and humble character. He had the art of holding conversations, explaining every little detail to Kavya, understood the importance of personal space in a relationship, was always so humble and had always treated Kavya with so much respect.
A supportive, caring and loving boyfriend who will make you root for him. Only if such men actually exist.
How many times do we see our heros who couldn’t get their heroine treating her the same way he did when he first fell in love with her? Abhimanyu was the guy.
He has won our hearts for each and every act of him and how we wish we could hug him. He understood Bindu so well when she said she could not handle their relationship. He let her go without a single act of toxic behaviour. He accepted her with all his heart and didn’t react to her marriage disrespectfully. Their dance in the end will always touch our hearts. Get us all one Abhimanyu please.
A man who has loved Heer with every bit of his heart. He was one of those men on screen who a woman knows will never judge her.
Heer opened her heart to him and together they had their time without any boundaries or societal fear. He was with Heer every time she needed her. It was heart wrenching to see him cry and beg for his heart to not be broken. Jordon is that beautiful and honest character who deserved a better ending.

UP Boards Topper Prachi Nigam was trolled on social media for her facial hair; our obsession with appearance is harsh on young minds.
Prachi Nigam’s photo has been doing the rounds on social media for the right reasons. Well, scratch that- I wish the above statement were true. This 15-year-old girl should ideally be revelling in her spectacular achievement of scoring a whopping 98.05% and topping her tenth-grade boards. But oddly enough, along with her marks, it’s something else that garners more attention – her facial hair.
While the trolls are driving themselves giddy by mocking this girl who hasn’t even completed her school yet, the ones who are taking her side are going one step ahead – they are sharing her photoshopped pictures, sans the facial hair, looking nothing less than a celebrity with captions saying – “Prachi Nigam, ten years later”.
Doctors have already diagnosed her with PCOD in their comments, based on photographic evidence. While we have names for people shamed for their weight – body shaming, for their skin colour- racism, for their age- age shaming, for being a female- sexism, this category of shaming where one faces criticism for their appearance has no name. With that, it also has zero shame attached to it.
