Starting A New Business? 7 Key Points To Keep In Mind.
A letter to a husband who wanted a life partner made of wife material, but found a partner who is made human material!
Dear Husband,
I am not sorry I am not your desirable woman. Yes, I thought and still think you were the best in the lot, so I chose you.
Our two beautiful daughters who have fire in their eyes when anyone raises their voice against me, yes God gave these two girls to us and no I am not going to have a third child hoping for a son.
I wish, you had told me earlier that it was mandatory to have a son as an ‘heir’ to your family! But I, too, did not tell you that I have an abusive brother and mother who will not treat you right either.
I hid the fact that my family were naïve and did not respect their girl child, so it is stupid of you to expect they would treat you as a king.
Our cultural mix is not a good combination. I agree. There are times I hear a mouthful from your sisters, and I take it with a smile at a few times and not every single time.
My career is important, and I cannot leave work to only take care of kids.
I require house help; I do not mind paying the help fairly so that I can effectively manage both family and career.
My brother calls me names, but I refuse to accept that my background is questionable.
My mom says horrible things to me, but I refuse to accept that I am not a part of my maiden family.
My dad did not pay for the wedding nor hosted any parties. That does not make him a less father. He educated me and I am proud of that.
I am unable to settle in your parents’ house that envisions me and my little girls just as unpaid cooks and housekeeping beings.
Here I stand in front of you, you can proceed to find your desirable woman and I will ensure you that I will have no problems with that. Good Luck!
Thank you

If a woman insists on her prospective groom earning enough to keep her comfortable, she is not being “lazy”. She is just being practical, just like men!
When an actress described women as “lazy” because they choose not to have careers and insist on only considering prospective grooms who earn a lot, many jumped to her defence.
Many men (and women) shared stories about how “choosy” women have now become.
One wrote in a now-deleted post that when they were looking for a bride for her brother, the eligible women all laid down impossible conditions – they wanted the groom to be not more than 3 years older than them, to earn at least 50k per month, and to agree to live in an independent flat.
Ms. Kulkarni, please don’t apologise ‘IF’ you think you hurt women. Apologise because you got your facts wrong. Apologise for making sexual harassment a casual joke.
If Sonali Kulkarni’s speech on most modern Indian women being lazy left me shocked and enraged, her apology post left me deeply saddened.
I’d shared my thoughts on her problematic speech in an earlier article. So, I’ll share why I felt Kulkarni’s apology post was more damaging than her speech.
If her speech made her an overnight hero among MRAs, sexists, and people who were awed by her dramatic words, then her apology post made her a legendary saint.
