Starting A New Business? 7 Key Points To Keep In Mind.
Ayan Mukherjee spent 400 crores on VFX in Brahmastra so he could not pay the dialogue writers and they took revenge. The biggest letdown of the movie.
“You would be protected by an ancient magic of which he knows nothing, which he despises, and which he has always, therefore, underestimated – to his cost.” (Harry Potter series)
Your mother’s sacrifice made the bond of blood the strongest shield I could give you.” (Again, Harry Potter series!)
“Only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart.”(Frozen)
Yes these were the very quotes that rang the bell while watching #Brahmastra
Love is the greatest magic, power, and now we know it is the greatest Astra too… Clichéd much? Yeah, somewhat.
The story is of an orphan who realises he has powers, and fights the dark force.
Where did we read or see this?
Practically in all superhero, Harry Potter, or fantasy stories.
But did I like the movie? Again a yeah.
*Few Spoilers Alert
The visuals. Well, I haven’t watched Avengers (Gosh!) Or the latest Marvel multiverse things (again gosh) so for me, this Astraverse was quite cool.
Shahrukh Khan. I mean when already the movie is this long you could have stretched his role a little more. Can I ever have enough of him? No. Mohan Bhargava, can we have more of you in the 2nd part?
The songs. Kesariya is good but why isn’t Deva Deva a hit already? Why am I not hearing it everywhere? (I write as I hum the tune.)
The antagonist. Mouni Roy was quite a revelation. Of course, greater evil powers are controlling her. And I found that part interesting.
The protagonist and the 90s wala love. You know, ek ladki ko dekha toh aisa laga… and love happened. (Yeah, yeah I still love those movies.)
The kids of the ashram. They should have been given more space. At least more than Alia who was babysitting the hero.
The ambition and courage to venture into a new genre. Good attempt in the new genre.
The dialogues. I mean Ayan Mukherjee spent 400 crores on VFX so he could not pay the dialogue writers and they took revenge. The biggest letdown of the movie.
Too many loose ends in the story. Or maybe they are left for part two?
Character building. Who developed (underdeveloped?) Alia’s character I wonder. Which girl in the world goes to a new place to save the world with practically a stranger?
Make this movie a hit so that we can have part 2.
(Spoiler alert) Please, please get Deepika and Ranveer to play the role of Dev and Amrita.
Get a good dialogue writer this time and pay them for God’s sake.
P.S. If your girlfriend is complaining to you about still clinging to ex’s memory, show them how to dance together to the tune of an ex. What a tribute to lost love!
Overall if you are amongst people who have enjoyed movies like RRR where mere mortals were doing superhero stunts, you have no reason to question the logic behind this movie where they are already flying in a different universe- Astra verse.
An ambitious project, with a lot of room for improvement but full-on entertainment. Complete masala.
My rating would be a 3.5/5

Every one has entrepreneurial ideas, don’t we? Mine was to open an organization that hosted events wherein kids from orphanages and elderlies from old-age homes were brought together.
It was unique, at least that is what my professor told me. But the amount of money as capital made it a distant dream. Sigh! But are there any ventures which need little money? Can we start our entrepreneurial journey with just ₹10000?
