In the episode that aired on Wednesday, we get to see the inspiring story of the life of Babita Tade.
She is known for her special khichdi that she makes for all children in the government school as a mid-day meal. Kids lovingly call her “Babita Kaku”. Babita daily cooks food for around 450 kids. She has been doing this job since 2002.
When asked about her job on the show very happily she said “Main apne kaam se bahut khush hu, mujhe sharam nahi aati. Mujhe khichdi pakana bahut acha lagta hai…Khana banane se zyada achi bachho ki khushi lagti hai” (I love my job, I don’t feel ashamed about it. Instead, I love cooking ‘Khichdi’ and more than cooking, the smiling faces of kids make me happy)
I’ll give you one more reason to completely adore Babita Tade.
Mostly on the show, when contestants are asked what they want to do with the money they win their response is to start their own business, complete their education, or buy their own house or a car, and clear their debts etc.
Babita, on the other hand, when asked what she would do if she won big, she responded that she’ll buy a phone. She said that currently her entire family owns just one phone, which is used by all members. So she wants to buy her own phone. Big B was so impressed and moved by her innocence that he gifted her a phone right away.
Babita Tade is all set to take on the jackpot question on KBC now. If she answers it correctly, she will win an amount of Rs 7 crore. Whatever the outcome may be, the thing we can say for sure is that Babita has not just won money; with her thoughts and attitude, she has won millions of hearts.

If her MIL had accepted her with some affection, wouldn't they have built a mutually happier relationship by now?
The incident took place ten years ago.
Smita could visit her mother only in summers when her daughter had school holidays. Her daughter also enjoyed meeting her Nani, and both of them had done their reservations for a week. A month before their visit, her husband told her, “My mom is coming for 4-5 months!”
Smita shuddered. She knew the repercussions. She would have to hear sarcastic comments from her mother-in-law for visiting her mother. She may make these comments directly only a bit, but her servants would be flooded with the words, “How horrible she is! She leaves me and goes!”
Are we so swayed by star power and the 'entertainment' quotient of cinema that satisfies our carnal instincts that we choose to ignore our own subconscious mind which always knows what is right and what is wrong?

Do you remember your first exposure to an extremely violent act or the aftermath of a violent act?
I am pretty sure for most of us it would be through cinema. But I remember very vividly my first exposure to aftermath of an unbelievably grotesque violent act in real life. It was as a student at a Dental College and Hospital.
