Information Disclosure

Women’s Web values very highly the privacy of its users and will not share your e-mail address or other individually identifying information with third parties, except:

Women’s Web has taken relevant technical as well as other measures by using the latest technologies to protect your personal data against loss or unlawful processing. We use measures to keep our platform as well as your data safe such as asking you to use accepted, industry-standard third-party login systems such as those of Facebook and Google. We ask you to ensure that you maintain the the secrecy of your unique passwords and/or account information, and also ensure that any email address you use to correspond with us, is only accessed by you, and is secure. We do not undertake responsibility for the functionality, privacy, or security measures of any other organization.

Data Deletion

Women’s Web allows users to request for the deletion of their personal data such as user name, user account, email address and other identifying information on this platform. In order to request for such deletion, please contact us at [email protected] with Data Deletion in your subject line, using the email address with which you have registered, or which corresponds to the Facebook account you may have used for registration.

Since contributors to the platform submit their content with the understanding that such content (whether in text, image, video or other form), can be used for publication, removing a post from the website, once published, would not be possible. In such cases, the user’s personal data may be removed, and the publicly available data/information in the form of a post, would be transferred to a non-personally-identifiable entity such as “guest blogger”.

The exception to this rule would be if there is a legal claim, prior copyright, factual inaccuracy or safety issue whether pertaining to the author, or to the Women’s Web site or team members.
