NANDINI SETT

Education: Schooling Modern High School for Girls, Kolkata, India. Completed Madhyamik or Class X and Higher Secondary or Class XII. I studied at Sweet Briar College, VA, USA. College is a liberal arts college so I had to take courses in English, Women in literature, Music Appreciation, History of Jazz, Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to Philosophy, Religions of Asia. I had to write papers in all the subjects to pass. In addition, I had taken research work courses such as "Human Genome Mapping of phenol-barbital-inducible P450 genome" and "Homologous recombination". My major was Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.I took courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Soon after graduating with cum laude I continued as PhD student of Biochemistry. After a year I returned home to Kolkata where I switched to IT. After earning diplomas/certificates in IT from NIIT, Kolkata, I worked for the past 17 years for Companies such as CESC Limited, Earthbase India Private Limited, Lucent Technologies Bell Lab Innovations, HCL Technologies, Wipro, Greenways Travels, South Point School and Solar-En Systems & Services. Presently I am hoping to work as a freelancer.
