Kirtida Gautam is a Clinical Psychologist. She has a Diploma of Performing Arts in Dramatics and an MFA in Screenplay Writing from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. She is the author of yet to be published novel I AM 16 I CAN. The novel questions juvenile justice system of India and raises opinion against rape culture. She is a member of the Women’s National Book Association and California Writer’s Club. She hosts the Twitter chat event #DVIndiaChat and she is the creator of the @PanAsianVoices.

I Did Not Feel Like A Girl, So Why Did I Have To Suffer Through Periods?

Hating periods more as a kid happened because I felt like a boy trapped in a girl's body, as a gender fluid person. I understand them better now.
