Arunima Choudhury born in Bengal in 1969 has lived outside Bengal for most of her life. She studied and grew up into adulthood in South India, Pondicherry. A post graduate in English and Comparative Literature , her professional career has been chequered; English teacher, translator, tourist guide, free lance journalist, and assistant editor of La Nouvelle Revue de L'Inde, a French magazine on India. She is currently living in Mali, West Africa and teaching English to Malians. Her cross-cultural experiences have often caused to transgress established identities.
