J.K. Rowling rips apart sexist insults aimed at Theresa May by so-called ‘liberal’ men. Because that’s what strong women do.

Theresa May, Britain’s Prime Minister suffered a major set back in the recently held UK general elections. Some so-called ‘liberal’ men expressed their excitement on Twitter by verbally abusing her with gender-based slurs. But, J.K. Rowling, the award winning author of the Harry Potter series, was not having it and decided to call out the sexist insults in a series of 14 searing tweets.

She made it clear that using demeaning language just because you disagree and disagree with a ‘woman’ is NOT OKAY.

Holds true in the Indian context too where women are viciously trolled when they dare to speak their mind

Sadly, such violent tendencies and vicious trolling of the ‘liberal’ men are not restricted to a particular country, religion, race or culture.
