Sexism is an everyday thing for most women. Yet, they live, love, and laugh, despite everything that they face just because of their gender.

My bare legs provoke you

Because of my gender.

My being in the world after sunset disturbs you

Because of my gender.

My going out with friends raises your eyebrows

Because of my gender.

My uninhibited presence challenges you

Because of my gender.

My freedom disturbs you

Because of my gender.

My existence at par with you perturbs you

Because of my gender.

My power threatens you

Because of my gender.

Still,

I live, I laugh, I fight, I win, I create, I love, I evolve, I embrace

Because of my gender.

While you,

continue to compete with me

Because of my gender

And somewhere, you stopped evolving

Because of your gender.
