I am a woman.

I am an untouchable

My thoughts are neglected,

My ideas are ignored,

My voice, silenced

My body, trampled over.

As I stand facing the world,

Never miss real stories from India's women.

My voice is muffled by the speech of the powerful,

I stand yelling into nothingness,

I wake up

And understand that it is but my dream to talk, to express.

I am a woman.
